A roll-off is the open-top rectangular container delivered by a hoist truck and rolled off onto your surface. It is the standard for any project that produces more debris than curbside service can absorb.
How roll-off containers differ from front-load dumpsters
Front-load dumpsters are the permanent plastic-lidded bins businesses keep on site for weekly service. Roll-offs are temporary, much larger, open on top, and hauled away whole. If you are clearing a project rather than managing ongoing weekly waste, a roll-off is what you want.
Doors, walls and loading
Every EverPoint roll-off has a rear door that swings open so you can wheelbarrow or walk material in rather than lifting it over a four to eight foot wall. Ten and twenty yard containers have lower walls, which is why they are preferred for heavy material that has to be lifted by hand.
Space requirements
Plan for about 60 feet of straight approach, 10.5 feet of width and 23 feet of vertical clearance. The container itself needs roughly 8 by 22 feet of ground for the larger sizes. Low power lines, tree limbs, carport overhangs and parked cars are the usual obstacles.
Rental periods and extensions
Standard periods run 7 to 14 days by market. If your schedule slips, call before the period ends and we will extend at a daily rate rather than treating it as a new rental. Early pickup is always available at no penalty.

Frequently asked questions
What surface can a roll-off sit on?
Concrete, asphalt, gravel and compacted dirt all work. Soft turf and decorative pavers are discouraged.
Can the container be moved after it is set?
A driver can reposition it on a return trip, but it cannot be dragged by hand once loaded. Choose the spot carefully.
Is a tarp required?
Drivers tarp loads for transport. Your responsibility is to keep debris level with the top rail so the load can be tarped legally.
