Dumpster Rental FAQ
The questions dispatch answers every day, with straight answers. If yours is not here, call 1-800-555-0147.
How much does it cost to rent a dumpster?
Cost depends on container size, the weight allowance you need, how long you keep it and the tipping fee at the disposal facility serving your address. We quote against real local disposal costs and state the overage rate before you book.
How quickly can you deliver?
Often the next business day, and sometimes the same day, when you call before the morning dispatch cutoff.
What size dumpster do I need?
Ten yard for heavy debris and single rooms, twenty for whole-home cleanouts, thirty for construction, forty for bulky lightweight loads. Describe your project and a dispatcher will size it in a minute.
Do I need a permit?
Only if the container will sit on a public street or sidewalk. Private driveways and job sites almost never require one.
Do you serve my area?
EverPoint coordinates rentals nationwide across all 50 states through a network of regional hauling partners. Call with your ZIP code to confirm availability and timing.
How long is a standard rental period?
Most residential rentals run 7 to 10 days and construction rentals 14 days or more, depending on market. Extensions are billed per day and early pickup costs nothing extra.
What can I put in the dumpster?
General household junk, furniture, construction and demolition debris, yard waste and clean concrete in a dedicated container. See our guide on accepted materials.
What is prohibited?
Hazardous and flammable materials, chemicals, tires, batteries, refrigerant-containing appliances, asbestos and medical waste. See prohibited items.
How much space is needed for delivery?
About 60 feet of straight approach, 10.5 feet of width and 23 feet of overhead clearance.
Will the container damage my driveway?
Drivers place protective boards under the rails on request, which prevents nearly all surface marking. Tell us if the driveway is new asphalt.
What happens if I exceed the weight limit?
Overage is billed per ton at the rate shown on your quote. Ask for a larger allowance up front if you expect a dense load.
Can I change the size after booking?
Yes, if we catch it before dispatch. Call as soon as you realize the debris does not match the container.
Do you offer same-day delivery?
Sometimes, depending on truck and container availability that day. Next business day is more typical when you call before the morning dispatch cutoff, and rural routes may require an extra day.
How do I schedule a pickup?
Call, email, or send a note through the quote form. Pickup usually happens within one business day.
Do you handle commercial accounts and multiple sites?
Yes. Multi-site accounts get one point of contact, standing swap schedules and consolidated invoicing.
