What Can You Put in a Dumpster?
Most everyday project debris is accepted without question. The list below covers what goes in a standard mixed load, plus the materials that need their own dedicated container.
Household and cleanout debris
Furniture, mattresses and box springs, carpet and padding, clothing and textiles, toys, books, non-electronic housewares, cabinetry, doors, windows and general household junk are all accepted in a standard mixed load. Some landfills add a small per-item fee for mattresses, which we disclose before delivery.
Construction and renovation debris
Lumber, drywall, plaster, trim, subfloor, tile, insulation, siding, decking, fencing, roofing underlayment and non-hazardous demolition debris are all standard. Keep loads level and avoid burying anything you might need to retrieve later.
Yard waste and organics
Locations, brush, leaves, sod, stumps and storm debris are accepted in most markets, though some regions require yard waste to be kept separate for composting. Ask when you book so we can note it on the order.
Heavy inert material
Clean concrete, brick, block, asphalt, dirt, rock and gravel are accepted as source-separated loads in a dedicated 10 yard container. Keeping them clean of wood, plastic and drywall often qualifies the load for lower-cost recycling rather than landfill disposal.
Appliances and metal
Metal appliances such as stoves, dishwashers and water heaters are generally accepted. Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners contain refrigerant and must be certified as evacuated before disposal, or handled separately. Scrap metal is welcome and is frequently recycled.

Can I mix material types?

Yes. Bagged household waste is fine as long as nothing prohibited is inside the bags.
